Why are videos/DVDs not used in class?

Watching video is a passive activity which doesn't require any active communication.

In the time your children are in the school, our objective is to maximize the opportunities for students to interact with their teachers and to actively use their new language.

Videos can provide some passive learning opportunities, so you are free to have your children watch them at home, where their teachers are not available.
