Kindy™ A, B and C Courses

It`s my turn to mix, Glen! It`s my turn to mix, Glen!

Although I'm in the first stage of this cycle, in the next two I will be doing the same components but at rates that will be appropriate for my age.

I have just started kindergarten and my mother is worried that I'll forget the English I've already learned but my teachers are telling her that it has just gone to sleep for a short time while I further develop my mother tongue. They also say that although I might not be able to prove to my parents all I really know, my brain is absorbing the language we learn in class. When I enter Kindy™ C and I'm more aware of language and I'm more socially mature I will use my language skills the same as I did last year.

We do alot of fun stuff that I can complete by myself, I think all the activities have been created so I can do them by myself. I love this because I can show everyone how independent and capable I am, in fact some of my favorite phrases are "I did it!", "I can do it by myself!" and "I'm great!".

Even though the modules are all the same in each level they contain different units that will match my level of maturity, cognitive development and motor skills. This way I can say "Pencil, please." in the beginning and then later I can say "I want a pencil, please." and finally in Kindy™ C I can say "Can I have a {colour} pencil, please.". Of course I am always allowed to say what comes naturally, as long as it's in English.

We have a new friend that has just come back from America, she speaks really fast with the teachers but, I understand what they're saying from the situation and their body language. I think next time I will try to use some of the words my new friend uses.

When I speak Japanese in class my teachers curb this action by repeating what I say back to me in English. If I ask the teachers something in Japanese they say the question in English for me to repeat. They never make me feel bad about this, I think they know at this age I'm so full of energy that sometimes I forget what language I'm using although all around me I can hear and see only English. I think I'll make my teachers proud by trying to using more English from now on.
